This is the hilarious moment a mother and son reacted with disgust when asked to kiss for the cameras at basketball game. Both onscreen and off, they became such an iconic couple that few now recall that their affair lasted only five years — or that we never really knew that much about it.

    Rowupdating newvalues

For example a Sql Data Source, which is automatically added to your Web Form if you drag-n-drop your way around Visual Studio 2005.

The problem is, I’d very much like to do so, if ASP. But I can’t set a Data Source property or anything on the Sql Data Source!!! I probably have to read the cells on the Grid View of the selected row, find the controls, get the values from those and insert those into my Data Set.

If you don't use one of the Data Source controls, you are required to handle the Row Updating event.

I confirmed this using Reflector: protected virtual void On Row Updating(Grid View Update Event Args e) { bool flag1 = base.

For a while now I’m trying to figure out why my method, triggered by the Grid View.

Row Updating event, doesn’t work as all samples say it should do.

Hello Hermann, I am afraid it is not possible to change the editor's value in the Row Validating or Row Updating event handler. New Values["Field Name"] arriving Row Inserting are the unchanged values.

Please clarify why you want to accomplish this task. Have I to something else to accept the new values ?

Check out what I’m trying to do, maybe you can help?

I just selected the Auto Generated Edit Button and Auto Generated Delete Button properties to True in the properties tab for the grid. Took 15 minutes to change it, my code is half if not less than it was before, and all I worked hard for now just works straight forward.

I have Enable View State set to true as well, but I am getting both e.

retrieves the key/value of bound data in the gridview control only, and your drop-down-list it's not bound to your gridview but it is an external control.

I was just testing if I will get the changed value out of the textbox when updating with no luck.
